Haul of shame 05/20

Guess what… another nail polish haul!!!!

Those are all polishes I’ve purchased during the last week. Only six of them so I did pretty good for an addict, didn’t I? So here they are up close:

All prices are in € and except the Manhattan polish, I bought them all in several Douglas stores around the country. Just for those who are not from Germany, Douglas is a beauty departement store over here, comparable to Sephora in the US.

The NOPI polishes were on a display with tons of different colors, saying they were all new Kardashian polishes. Are they really from a Kardashian collection? I’ve never seen swatches of those online. Anyways, I bought them cause I really like foily ot metallicy colors at the moment.

The Manhattan & Buffalo polish is a limited edition color I bought at a DM drugstore. And the Douglas color is such a pretty one I can’t believe I have overlooked it for soooo long.

The Essie Mirror Metallics polish I am the most excited for! I don’t know if this collection will be out outside Germany and if so, when. I know Essie is releasing this collection right now over here. There are 5 different colors in it, all metallics. I am on the hunt for them ever since I saw the first pictures, but I could only find Blue Rhapsody so far. And I am sooooo so glad I did. I love the color! It is soo pretty and not streaky at all. I’m wearing it right now and I love it! I’ll definately look out for the other colors and post a seperate haul if I found them. Cause I want them all!!!

The Essie Marshmellow one was on my wishlist for a while, and when I bought one of the NOPI colors, I saw that they had a little box next to the check out counter, that had reduced Essies in them. There where only two left, one was “Pearly White” and the other was my lovely “Marshmellow”. So I thought I have to give it a nice loving home.

Here are some swatches of all of them:

Aren’t they all pretty??? I didn’t swatch “Marshmellow” cause it’s just a sheer white color, wouldn’t be very noticable on a white swatch wheel.

Oops I did it again…

in particular:

The “Zuckerschnute” Shower Gel and Body Lotion smell sooooo delicious! They remind me of Lemon Cake batter from the cake my Mom used to make, when I was a kid. And I hope the “Nourish Me” Basecoat from Essie helps me moisture my nails, so they won’t break that often.

Nail Addiction…

Nail polish collection overview April 2012:

I think the count was about 300 bottles then. But I already bought some more.

Next month I wanna buy one of those wall racks, to organize them a little better. I might do a collection overview again if I have found a better storage solution.

Asos Haul from April…

Back with some hauls I did over the last couple of months. First is the one from asos.com.

I have to say I am not very pleased with my shopping experiences with them this time. I have ordered from them before and everything was great, but this time, … not so much.

I had a coupon from dailydeal which I purchased for 19,90 € and it allowed me to shop for 40 € on asos. At first my paypal payment wouldn’t work, so I cancelled my order while the payment process. Did that before, was never a problem. Two weeks later, paypal worked and I placed my order again. But now the coupon wouldn’t work anymore. It always told me during the checkout, the coupon code has been used before. Well, yes, I typed it in before, but I never completed my order, so technically it must still work.

I e-mailed the customer service and some hours later I recieved an answer with a supplemental code to use. So I started the order process again. But this time the code they gave me, was just a 10% off offer.

So I emailed them again and the guy wrote me back, that he was sorry, but the only way is to pay the full price on everything and they would refund me the rest if I decide to keep all the items. WHAT THE … ??? No deal, boy! I e-mailed him back, that I won’t do that, cause how can they refund me something if they don’t know what exactally?

This time, maybe a day later, a nice girl replied with a different replacement code for me to use. She was really sorry about the inconveniences. I repeated the whole order and finally the code worked! But that wasn’t the end. But first let me show you what I recieved:

I got a Benefit B*Right mini kit with 6 little minis to try out. A Models Own Set of 3 from the Beetlejuice Collection, a single Models Own polish in Grace Green and a Rimmel Glam Eyes HD Eyeshadow palette in greens. So far so good.

Originally I ordered 5 polishes but one of them simply fell out of the package, cause they used a way to big box with way to less protective foil. the polishes flew around free inside the box and it was kinda damaged and not really closed. That was also the reason for what happened to the eyeshadow palette.

You can see all the has spilled across the packaging, in the left upper corner you can clearly see the golden shadow is a bit broken. The lid of the palette was almost torn apart and barely hanging on to the rest of the packaging. I can still use the shadow, but it bothered me anyways. I mean I had a coupon, but I still paid for the stuff, right?

So I e-mailed asos again and they send me a nice message saying that they would love to send me replacement items for the lost and damaged ones, but both of them were sold out at the moment. So the offered me a refund of the money. Well that works for me. Only downfall, I have to wait about 30 days til paypal re-credits the money to my account.

So do you have any “bad” experiences with online shopping?
