Ever since I saw swatches of MUA Eyeshadow popping up on several blogs, I was dying to try them out. Finally I decided to buy one of their palettes on ebay.

I choose the Immaculate Collection, which is a 24 shadow palette, cause that one offered the most oppertunities in trying out colors for me.

Here’s what the baby looks like:

I swatched some of the colors on my finger and the pigmentation is really great. The only colors I wasn’t too impressed with are the matte brown and the matte purple. Those two are so hard pressed, that you barely get some color payoff. Some of the more glittery colors are a bit “crumbly” but overall I really like the palette.

Here are the color close-ups:

Pretty aren’t they? I would have done swatches, but my camera wouldn’t really pick them up that well.

I bought this palette on ebay.co.uk for 11,99 GBP, you can find it and all the other ones by typing in “MUA palette” in the search field.

About two weeks ago I stumbled over the new Essence Ready for Boarding Trend Edition in my local drugstore. There wasn’t much in that TE that really interested me, although the design of the Eyeshadow pallete was pretty cute. The polish colors were pretty boring, the Peel Off Base Coat, I showed you in my recent Haul of Shame was already sold out, so I decided to try out the Lip & Cheek Cremes. And I bought both of them.

Here’s what they look like:

On the left we have “Sending you Kisses”, a dark fushia pink, and on the right is “Beauty on Tour”, a coral peach color. The consitency is really nice, very creamy and not sticky at all. The pigmentation is very good, and they blend on easily and are also buildable on your cheeks and lips if you want a richer color.  The price was around 3 € each.

Here is a “heavy” swatch on the back of my hand:

left: Sending you Kisses

right: Beauty on Tour

My own opinion is that I would rather use them on my cheeks than on my lips, but the only reason for that is, that I don’t like lip products, where you have to stick your fingers in to apply them.

If you can still get them, just go ahead. I think they are a realy good product for the price and worth checking them out.

Here I am back with none other then… the Haul! 🙂

I was litterly more shopping then writing, so I’ show you what I got recently…

Essence Eau de Toilette “Like a Trip to New York” >>> 2,99 €

Paris Hilton Passport Eau de Toilette “South Beach” >>> 4,90 €

Body Shop Raspberry Ripple Shower Gel >>> 3,- €

Body Shop Lily Cole Pearl Radiance Primer >>> 10,- €

NYX “Bohemian Rhapsody” 10 Color Eyeshadow Palette >>> 9,95 €

Manhattan Intense Effect Eyeshadow ” Rich Aubergine” & “Aqua Turquoise” >>> each 3,95 €

Essence Fix & Matte translucent loose powder >>> 3,99 €

The perfumes are pretty cute. I have one of the Paris Hilton Passport ones in a bigger size already. The Essence one is also available in 50ml size, but I decided for the smaller ones, cause I think they will be perfect for the purse.

Here are the eyeshadows up close:

Manhattan “Aqua Turquoise” & “Rich Aubergine”

NYX “Bohemian Rhapsody” Palette

A side note: When NYX products finally arrived in German stores some time ago, the prices were ridiculous high for a drugstore product. The price for this palette would have been 46,- € (!!!!!), a lipgloss would have been 15,- € and a nail polish 14,- €! Those prices would have been comparable to MAC. After a lot of people complained about the prices they ended up changing them into more affordable ones. So 9,95 € for this palette is a good deal I think.

Since I have some days off, I’ll post another Haul tomorrow. And guess what it is??? … All right, you got me. It’s NAIL POLISH!!! 🙂

Oops I did it again… 😉

in particular:

The “Zuckerschnute” Shower Gel and Body Lotion smell sooooo delicious! They remind me of Lemon Cake batter from the cake my Mom used to make, when I was a kid. And I hope the “Nourish Me” Basecoat from Essie helps me moisture my nails, so they won’t break that often.

What were your latest purchases???

Back with some hauls I did over the last couple of months. First is the one from asos.com.

I have to say I am not very pleased with my shopping experiences with them this time. I have ordered from them before and everything was great, but this time, … not so much.

I had a coupon from dailydeal which I purchased for 19,90 € and it allowed me to shop for 40 € on asos. At first my paypal payment wouldn’t work, so I cancelled my order while the payment process. Did that before, was never a problem. Two weeks later, paypal worked and I placed my order again. But now the coupon wouldn’t work anymore. It always told me during the checkout, the coupon code has been used before. Well, yes, I typed it in before, but I never completed my order, so technically it must still work.

I e-mailed the customer service and some hours later I recieved an answer with a supplemental code to use. So I started the order process again. But this time the code they gave me, was just a 10% off offer.

So I emailed them again and the guy wrote me back, that he was sorry, but the only way is to pay the full price on everything and they would refund me the rest if I decide to keep all the items. WHAT THE … ??? No deal, boy! I e-mailed him back, that I won’t do that, cause how can they refund me something if they don’t know what exactally?

This time, maybe a day later, a nice girl replied with a different replacement code for me to use. She was really sorry about the inconveniences. I repeated the whole order and finally the code worked! But that wasn’t the end. But first let me show you what I recieved:

I got a Benefit B*Right mini kit with 6 little minis to try out. A Models Own Set of 3 from the Beetlejuice Collection, a single Models Own polish in Grace Green and a Rimmel Glam Eyes HD Eyeshadow palette in greens. So far so good.

Here are the polishes in close up:

Models Own Grace Green & Emerald Black (sorry for the shaky quality)

Models Own Golden Green & Pinky Brown

Originally I ordered 5 polishes but one of them simply fell out of the package, cause they used a way to big box with way to less protective foil. the polishes flew around free inside the box and it was kinda damaged and not really closed. That was also the reason for what happened to the eyeshadow palette.

You can see all the has spilled across the packaging, in the left upper corner you can clearly see the golden shadow is a bit broken. The lid of the palette was almost torn apart and barely hanging on to the rest of the packaging. I can still use the shadow, but it bothered me anyways. I mean I had a coupon, but I still paid for the stuff, right?

So I e-mailed asos again and they send me a nice message saying that they would love to send me replacement items for the lost and damaged ones, but both of them were sold out at the moment. So the offered me a refund of the money. Well that works for me. Only downfall, I have to wait about 30 days til paypal re-credits the money to my account.
